Hajj Application Process Begins Aug 4: Govt Scheme Details, Quota, Costs & Eligibility

The Hajj application process for Pakistani pilgrims under the official Hajj Policy 2026 will begin on August 4, following its approval by the federal cabinet. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced key updates, packages, and rules for applicants.

Hajj 2026 Quota Allocation

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf announced that Pakistan has been allocated 179,210 seats, divided between the government and private sectors.

Hajj Packages & Costs

Two Hajj package options will be offered under the government scheme:

Payments are to be made in two installments via designated banks.

Key Eligibility Criteria

To apply, pilgrims must have a valid Pakistani passport valid till November 26, 2026. Children under 12 years are not eligible. All applicants must be vaccinated with Saudi-approved vaccines.

Hajj Application Process

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis in line with the Saudi timeline. The ‘Road to Makkah’ initiative will operate from Islamabad and Karachi.

Digital and Regulatory Measures

The Pak Hajj App and a dedicated helpline will assist pilgrims. The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and NITB will provide real-time monitoring and digital support.
